About Phil

Phil Longden is a filmmaker, sound designer, composer, and U.S. Army veteran based in New York’s Hudson Valley. A graduate of Full Sail University with a B.S. in Audio Production, his work spans directing, screenwriting, audio post-production, original scoring, and sound design.

He is the co-founder of Flesh For Flesh Productions, an independent production company focused primarily on horror and genre filmmaking. His films and screenplays have received recognition through independent competitions and festivals, and his found-footage short Still Counting was selected for Season 3 of FoundTV’s short-film showcase.

As a sound designer, Phil specializes in narrative audio post, including dialogue editing, ambience, foley, effects, creature sound design, ADR, tension design, original scoring, and stereo mixing. His approach is rooted in storytelling first — using sound, silence, texture, and dynamics to help independent films feel cinematic regardless of budget.

Whether directing his own work or collaborating with another filmmaker in post, the goal is the same: create an experience the audience can feel.
